We are alive because life force is flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body through pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. These all affect the channel or flow of energy. It also flows around us in a field of energy called our aura.
I do it more by feeling and by feeling the vibration in the body. Again, if the vibration--so, for instance, I'm working on a dog with congestive heart failure. What I'm experiencing when I'm treating her--I'm doing it about weekly now--is when I'm scanning her body with my hands and completely in a trance, the dog's in a semi-trance or whatever, I can feel these--you know when you were kids and you blew into those little pinwheels?
That's sort of like the way that I feel like the energy is moving through an individual, an animal, whomever, and there's heat and there's cold. And when I get to a region where the body doesn't need any healing, I don't really feel that vibration as much as when I'm on a part of the body that needs healing.
This life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one of more of the organs and cells of the physical body.
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the body where negative thoughts and feelings are attached. Reiki causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In doing so, it clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy natural way.
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki affects the whole body; the emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a hands-on healing method. The practitioner channels healing energy through a light touch either directly on the body or from a distance.
